Installation in ferromagnetic ballasts:
Step 1: Turn off the light at the main switchboard and verify that no electric current is coming.
Step 2: Remove the old tube and then the starter.
Step 3: Put the new LED starter bridge (included with each tube).
Step 4: Remove the capacitor or capacitor (to avoid overvoltage).
Step 5: Install the new LED tube.
Installation in electronic ballasts:
Step 1: Turn off the light at the main electrical panel and verify that no electric current is coming.
Step 2: Remove the old tube (in this case there is no starter, as it is incorporated inside the electronic ballast).
Step 3: Disconnect the cables that enter the electronic ballast (no need to remove it, just disconnect it electrically).
Step 4: Choose one of the 2 tube holders to connect its 2 wires directly to the mains.
Step 5: We recommend to mark the lamp holder where the connection has been made to facilitate the installation of the LED tube.
- If the installation contains a capacitor bank consult your specialized technician.
Applications:
- General lighting, direct replacement of conventional 150cm fluorescent tubes.
- Perfect for illuminating closed parking lots, offices, stores, commercial galleries, kitchens, etc.
- Thanks to its angle, it is ideal for placement on walls.

Questions
P: Question: |
Hello, I have an old installation of tubes, 58w fluorescent tubes with the typical ballasts, starters ,,,, to install these led T8 tubes I understand that I do not have to touch anything but the starter, replacing it with the one you supply ? I don't have to do anything else? Thank you ! |
---|
R: Answer: | It depends on the installation, how many tubes go per ballast and the type of ballast. The LED tubes go directly to the 220vac mains, they are only connected on one side marked non-input (L and N), without starter or ballasts of previous systems. |
---|
P: Question: | when will you receive the cool white ones? |
---|
R: Answer: | For availability, please contact comercial@barcelonaled.com. |
---|
P: Question: | what is the problem in installing led tubes in installations with capacitor banks for reactive power? |
---|
R: Answer: | If the installation is well compensated there should be no problems, but sometimes we have had incidents in led tubes where there are usually reactive power compensations. Probably resonance frequencies with non-linear and capacitive loads, harmonic current increases in the installation or non-led equipment in the same circuit that cause overvoltages at start-up. |

P: Question: | Hi, I just bought these fluorescents and my question is if they are dimmable by installing a dimmer. Thank you. |
---|
R: Answer: | T8 LED tubes are not dimmable |

P: Question: |
Good morning. I want to replace some classic 58w/840 flurescent tubes with this model of led tube. I would like to know if I will get the same amount of light, will they illuminate the same? Thanks |
---|
R: Answer: | If the equivalence in power of a 24W LED tube, 150cm is the equivalent of a 58W fluorescent tube. Remember that the LED tubes go directly to the mains and 220vac connected only by one side of the tube. Without ballasts and starters of the previous system. |
---|
P: Question: | Hello good, does it contain a starter? I have to buy about 30 tubes for a community garage, and I would like to make sure that I have no problems with the purchase. Can you help me. Thanks |
---|
R: Answer: | The LED T8 tubes do not use starter, ballasts, capacitors, or any components of previous systems, they are connected directly to the 220v mains by only one side marked as line and neutral. The tubes have a bridge that can be placed where before there was a starter to "reuse" the old installation and to be able to connect a cable on each side of the tube. |

P: Question: |
Can you tell me what surface could illuminate each screen with 2 led tubes? Recommended height? Thank you very much. |
---|
R: Answer: | The surface to be illuminated depends on the height and the amount of light needed depending on the room, place, and use of the area. |

P: Question: | Which led tube should I use to replace a classic Osram 58W/10 DAYLIGHT fluorescent? Thanks |
---|
R: Answer: | It replaces the 150 cm led tube. The old watts are not the same as the led, you have to look for the measure. |
---|
P: Question: | These tubes are suitable for watertight screens or are there other more convenient ones? |
---|
R: Answer: | You can put the T8 tubes perfectly, and for more security the nanos tubes that are made of PVC. |

P: Question: |
Hi, I just bought these fluorescents on your site, and I have a question, these fluorescents must be fed from both sides? Or they can be fed with phase and neutral only on one side? Thanks |
---|
R: Answer: | LED T8 tubes are only connected on one side.
